Foundation Overview

The AI MMLAB Club brings together individuals who share the vision of the late Professor Tang Xiao'ou, founder of SenseTime Group. Through educational and cultural activities, academic seminars, networking gatherings, and cross-sector exchanges, the Club promotes the application and development of artificial intelligence, while creating greater opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship for young people in Hong Kong.

The Club's membership comprises Full Members, Associate Members, and Honorary Members, and is open to faculty members, researchers, postdoctoral fellows, students, research assistants, alumni, and visiting scholars affiliated with the Multimedia Lab, as well as young individuals who have demonstrated a strong interest in artificial intelligence, computer vision, and deep learning and have been recommended for membership.

Objectives:

. To promote the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of the late Professor Tang Xiao'ou, founder of SenseTime Group;

. To organize gatherings and activities that unite and bring together individuals who support the vision of Professor Tang Xiao'ou;

. To organize gatherings and activities that create greater innovation and entrepreneurship opportunities for young people in Hong Kong;

. To promote the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship;

. To foster broader cooperation between Hong Kong and the Mainland;

. To promote the application and development of artificial intelligence.

Governance

Chairman

The Chairman shall represent the Club, lead the work of the Executive Committee, manage the affairs of the Club, and convene and preside over all meetings.

Treasurer

The Treasurer shall be responsible for financial receipts and expenditures, fund custody and allocation, and budget preparation, in support of the Club's activities and daily operations.

Secretary

The Secretary shall be responsible for secretarial documentation, meeting agendas, and the recording of resolutions, and shall handle daily administrative affairs and such other duties as assigned by the Executive Committee.
Note: The Constitution also provides for the positions of Vice Chairman, Internal Audit Officer, and Executive Officers. A Coordinating Committee, composed of members appointed by resolution of the Executive Committee, shall be responsible for planning and organizing various activities of the Club.

April 3, 2025 Signing of the Constitution
The name of the Club, its objects, membership categories, the rights and duties of members, and the structure of the Executive Committee are hereby formally established.
Fiscal Year 2025 Commencement of Community Building
The Club shall progressively establish an academic network and a youth exchange network, centered around its Full Members, Associate Members, and Honorary Members.
Continued Advancement Expansion of Activities and Partnerships
Through lectures, forums, gatherings, and sharing sessions, the Club shall promote cooperation between Hong Kong and the Mainland, foster academia-industry exchange, and advance the development and application of AI.
